Where were you in '62?
Remember that line from the
George Lucas film, American Graffiti? The film was a snapshot of the
American cruise scene in 1962. It caught the atmosphere of that era including
the music, fashion and typical lifestyles of teen America. Most importantly it
captured 'the Graffiti', the non conformist tapestry of types and styles of custom vehicles typically found in
any downtown American cruise. Hot Rods, Lowriders, Street Machines and what we
could call classics these days.
Scroll forward to the 21st
Century and imagine what the Graffiti of types and styles of custom vehicles
would be relevant today in the UK. Would the 1962 examples be among
today's cruise scene in the UK? You bet!! Styles and times change and progress.
We all recognise that. So here we have the Graffiti 21 Car Show. Hot Rods,
Lowriders, Classics, Street Machine's and custom cars from every era, up to now and
beyond!!
Everyone is welcome. Got something
traditional, old, new, customised or Modified and think it's worthy of a place
on the show field? Come along and join this celebration of the Custom vehicle.
